Starting his career as an illustrator, Rob was commissioned for publications such as The Observer and Sunday Times Magazine, and illustrated for brands such as Nike, Peugeot, and Havana Club Rum. Later, turning his hand to advertising, he worked as a designer for TBWA/London on various high profile brands such as Playstation, Nissan and Adidas. At Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe he created notable work for M&S, Virgin Atlantic and BBC. Before joining Adam&EveDDB, where Rob was design lead on several award winning campaigns for the likes of John Lewis, Volkswagen, Mulberry and Harvey Nichols, which was awarded an array of Cannes Lions, One Club awards and D&AD Pencils.
Later becoming Head of Design at MullenLowe London, overseeing design output for widely recognised campaigns such as British Heart Foundation - Thank You, NHS - StayWellThisWinter and The Samaritans - We Listen, which was awarded a D&AD pencil, Creative Circle award and was also shortlisted for the Beazley Design of the year award at the Design Museum in 2016. The Campaign also featured in the exhibition ‘Can graphic design save your life’ at The Wellcome Collection.
Since 2018 Rob has been busy consulting for a broad range of creative agencies and clients, including Droga5, St Lukes, and Ogilvy, where his design played an vital role for the Boots Bootique 2019 Christmas campaign, picking up a D&AD pencil. Co-founding his own design studio, Fake Empires Collective - Rob has collaborated with established brands such as Cat Footwear, Peroni and Monster Energy. But mostly puts his energy into giving start-up businesses the visibility and power they need to grow their brands equity. Rob is a champion for nurturing young creative talent.
