Brookes Contracting use their huge experience and craft skills to help high-end architects bring their imaginative designs to life. Their work on Courtyard House created an ingenious and stunningly beautiful space that received enormous acclaim, appearing on Grand Designs and in Elle Decoration, as well as winning local and national RIBA awards. Brookes wanted to highlight their precision work on the project by sending a mailer to prestige architecture practices.
We led with the idea that they’d “nailed it” and got a professional joiner to create the project name in tightly-packed nails on a sheet of plywood. Trying various sizes of nail packed in various densities, he spent a whole day crafting the job. We then nailed shots of Courtyard House to the reverse and shot the sheet in situ at a site where Brookes were working. The two shots formed the two sides of an A2 poster, which was folded, placed in a plastic bag and sealed with stapled card to mimic a bag of nails.
